BEST SPORTING MOMENTS OF 2021
1. India 2nd innings, Jan 11, SCG: They batted out the day for a draw against all odds, with India hammered by injury & short balls. Outstanding.

2. Tom Brady. Seventh Super Bowl Win & NFL’s MVP for a 5th time. Enough said.

3. The Tokyo Olympics: When you are in the middle of what turned out to be a 15-week lockdown, they were a gift.

4. Ariarne Titmus – The battle with Katie Ledecky was superb.

5. Emma Mckeon – 7 medals, including 4 golds, at one Olympic Games. And did so with such unassuming grace.

6. An Italian winning the Olympic Men’s 100m race. No one saw that coming, which made it just that little bit more brilliant.

7. Ash Barty wins Wimbledon. Dignity and all class. Some NRL players could learn a thing or two.

8. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The F1 season & championship decider went to the final lap of the final race of 2021.

KUDOS TO:
The 7 Republicans who did the right thing and voted guilty in the 2nd impeachment trial of Trump.

PEOPLE YOU JUST WANTED TO PUNCH IN THE FUCKING HEAD IN 2021
The 43 Republicans who didn’t.

QUOTES OF 2021
“Fuck yeah” – Kaylee McKeown after winning the Olympic 100m backstroke final.

“This is my story of my story” – David Gulpilil.

DUMBEST QUOTE OF 2021
Anything that Shane Warne says.

KNOBS OF 2020:
1. Anyone who knew they had to isolate but decided the rules didn’t apply to them because they are a selfish, inconsiderate, entitled fuck knuckle.

2. The thousands of people protesting about being in lockdown while actively spreading the very thing that put us in lockdown in the 1st place. The stupidity was staggering.

3. Craig Kelly

THINGS I NEVER WANT TO SEE AGAIN:
A positive Covid test.

IT SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME:
